About Metaphysical Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis has long been known for it's ability to access the subconscious mind. With knowledge gained over the past few decades, it is now possible to tap into this bottomless well of inner strength and knowledge to bring amazing changes. It can help you to mend old wounds from your childhood or even a past life, which have been holding you back. Since 1958, when the American Medical Association, in its infinite wisdom, listed hypnosis as a valid medical treatment, hypnosis has shown to be effective in a great many areas of human health and well-being.

Through hypnosis, positive, desired responses can be created in the subconscious mind, replacing inappropriate responses which had been used in the past. These responses can be at any level of being -- physical, emotional, mental or spiritual -- as the subconscious governs all these. Even Sigmund Freud, considered to be the father of modern psychoanalysis, recognized that hypnosis was a much quicker and less expensive option for treatment of many kinds of disorders. He even expressed doubts that his form of psychanalysis would gain much public acceptance because of these limitations.

Hypnosis is fast and almost effortless. It is completely natural -- you enter into a hypnotic state many times a day -- such as when you daydream or become so engrossed in watching a TV program that you lose track of time. A hypnotherapist is simply your guide to your healing -- you, via your subconscious, are the one doing the actual healing. Your subconscious knows everything about you, so when it produces a healing, it does it in such a way that is in harmony with the rest of your systems. Therefore there are no negative side effects. The subconscious is not constrained by the limited knowledge or egos of the medical profession, so the results it produces can sometimes be considered "miraculous".

There are two basic methods of theraputic hypnosis -- Ericksonian or direct suggestion, in which the therapist plants strong new ideas into your subconscious to help guide you into new behaviors, and metaphysical, which calls upon your spiritual aspects to assist in changing the attitudes of your inner sub-personalities. Each method has it's own strengths in its uses for different situations. I am trained in both processes, so I can select the method best suited for a clients issue. I will often combine the two for even more powerful results. Most people have difficulty making changes in their lives because they have deep-seated underlying blocks which counter their ability to move in new directions. Most people are not even aware of these blocks -- some of the blocks may even have been established in a previous life or in very early childhood. Through hypnotherapy, these blocks can be identified, embraced and released, thus allowing forward movement in life.

Remove phobias: Evidence has shone that all phobias are the result of a traumatic event that the subconscious mind remembers in an irrational way. Through hypnotic techniques, the trauma can be found and be viewed in a new way, releasing the need for the phobias to exist. Occasionally, the traumatic incident may even exist in the past life and is handled in a similar way.

Increased confidence: Often a lack of confidence or self-esteem comes from of comes from verbal abuse as a child, being told you are stupid, that you can't do anything right, etc. Under hypnosis, that memory can be replaced with a memory of positive events and supplemented with post-hypnotic suggestions.

Stop smoking: Cigarette smoking is one of the most difficult addictions to break. Hypnosis has shown to be one of the most effective methods for anyone who is sincere about wanting to quit. Much of the habit is subconscious programming, which can be re-scripted under hypnosis.

Better concentration: Your subconscious mind has many voices. When some get attention more than others, a kind of inner battle for attention can result. Using hypnosis, these various aspects of you can be brought into a cooperative alignment.

Improve memory: Your conscious mind only remembers what it deems to be important. Your subconscious mind, however, is aware of everything and remembers everything. This is the reason that under hypnosis, details of vague demands or even scenes of childhood can be recalled in detail. The subconscious can be given suggestions to assist the memory processes of your conscious mind.

Better health: Your subconscious mind is responsible for all of your body's automatic functions. Unfortunately, it can be subjected to information, which can be detrimental to your health. As an extreme example, if you are told you have a disease by a respected authority, your subconscious may bring that disease into reality. This would be the opposite of what's known as the placebo effect. Powerful hypnotic suggestions can actually supercharge your immune system. Also, if you are subconsciously harboring a negative image about yourself, hypnosis can find the source of that negativity and help you to clear it.

Manage stress: Hypnosis has shown to be one of the most effective means of lowering your blood pressure and other symptoms of stress. With a little training, you can learn to lessen your reaction to stress. I can't make your stress disappear, but I can help you change your body's response to it.

Manage pain: All bodily pain actually exists only in the brain. Anaesthetics prevent the pain signals from registering in the brain. Yet all body signals must first go through the subconscious before there are passed on to the conscious mind for attention. Through hypnosis, the subconscious can be convinced to filter out certain pain signals. This has many benefits-from allowing surgical procedures without chemical anesthesia to eliminating pain for which no medical cause can be identified. In some cases, the pain can originate from severe trauma in a past life and only hypnosis can release it.

Be more creative: You have lived thousands of lives. Chances are that in some of those lives, you had a special talent that could assist you in this life. There are special techniques in hypnosis therapy that can allow that hidden talent to come into your present life.

Visit past lives: I discourage past life regressions done casually for curiosity sake. It is an indispensable therapy however, for improving many aspects of your current life. Seeing yourself in a probable future is also just as possible, and can be used to see what you might become if you don't change some pattern in your life or to get advice from that future self on what to do now to achieve a desired future.

Pre-birth contracts: Before you came into this present incarnation, you made agreements with your Higher Self to learn specific lessons. You may have also made a promise at the moment of death in your past life (" I'll never leave you!"), which your Higher Self is holding you to. All of this is normally hidden from your conscious mind. Through hypnosis, you can review what you agreed to do or promised and renegotiate a new contract with your Higher Self.

Release traumas: Many people have lived through abusive or otherwise traumatic situations, particularly in their youth or childhood. The results of these incidents will often determine how a person deals with the world - and often create a limitation of their full expression. Through hypnosis therapy, these traumas can be found and viewed differently, and the emotions connected to them released.

Speed healing: Among its many functions, the subconscious mind controls the factors which influence healing of the body such as blood flow, cell division rate, and hormone production. By using specific suggestions in a hypnotic state, your body can actually improve its ability to heal. This is been shown many times to speed recovery after surgery.

Find prosperity: Are you really open to being your best and accepting the gifts the universe has for you? By planting solid, positive suggestions in your subconscious, it becomes your ally to success. Hypnosis can also be used to change the attitude of those portions of yourself which do not feel that you are worthy to succeed.

Insomnia: Insomnia is most often caused by an aspect of anxiety, a nervous condition buried in your subconscious mind. Utilizing techniques of hypnosis therapy, the underlying causes of the anxiety can be discovered and released, thereby freeing you of this difficulty.

Bed wetting: Bladder control is jointly handled by the conscious and subconscious minds. Occasionally, the subconscious needs some guidance on its response to hold the valve shut during sleep. This is simply a training process, that is an aspect of toilet training for the nighttime. Hypnosis is amazingly effective in resolving this problem.

Gaining new skills: Your subconscious has access to all knowledge. Using hypnosis, positive suggestions can be given to the subconscious to give your conscious mind rapid learning abilities to access the desired new skills. Hypnosis can also be used to find an aspect of yourself which lived in a previous life and had developed certain skills in that lifetime. You can bring those skills forward into this lifetime and continue to apply them.

Sports performance: Many studies have shown that the highest level of performance comes when both the body and the mind are trained. Visualization is often used to help athletes sharpen their abilities. Using hypnosis to implant positive suggestions in the subconscious, insures that the most powerful part of your being is working towards your goal. It may also be that you have specific sports talent from a previous life that can be brought forward is into this life to assist you.

Break unwanted patterns: Many unproductive patterns get established in early childhood as a means to deal with difficult or threatening situations (or at least, perceived that way at the time). These patterns stay locked in the subconscious and influence your adult behavior even though the situation that brought it on has long gone and been forgotten. Through hypnosis, the original incidents can be discovered and viewed through adult eyes and allow the memory to be re-scripted to allow the patterns to change.

Inner guides: One of the most powerful methods of spiritual growth is to establish an active and personal relationship with advanced entities, who will communicate with you through your inner worlds. These guides can assist you 24 hours a day in all aspects of your life. Finding and testing the guides for their value and validity is done under hypnosis.

Inner child: Though you have grown up, the child you once were still lives within you. As an adult who experiences life, your behavior is strongly influenced by the way you learned to cope as a child. If you suffered trauma, abandonment, or abuse as a child, is you as an adult are not capable of full function. Hypnosis can allow you to return to your childhood and create nurturing, happy memories, thus changing your adult life. Yeah, really!

Lose weight: Hypnosis can be incredibly effective in helping those who are dangerously overweight. Combined with a good diet and exercise regimen, hypnosis is the tool to allow you to explore the deep subconscious motivation that causes you to either eat compulsively or your need to be fat. I use a very extensive interview process that examines dozens of different subconscious reasons and characteristics why people gain excess weight. If you are overweight and have not been successful in losing weight by any other means, hypnosis has shown to be enormously effective in assisting the resolution of this serious problem. Enhanced immune response: Your immune system, like other automatic functions of your body, is regulated by your subconscious. Your immune response is undermined by the toxicity of our society - its impact on your physical, emotional, and mental aspects. The strength of your immune system can be restored through conditioning by the use of hypnosis to communicate with the subconscious.

Heal relationships: The way you relate to other people and handle intimacy is highly influenced by the patterns you learned in your infancy and childhood. You may even be carrying nonproductive patterns from a previous life. Hypnosis can be a powerful tool to root out the irrational and unhealthy emotions that can erode your ability to have balance in your relations with others.

Self sabotage: It is not uncommon that a person has a part of himself that attempts to sabotage his efforts in a career, in love, in art, or in friendships, because that part is convinced that he is not worthy of it. Special techniques in hypnosis can disclose that hidden saboteur, and change its perspective toward you.

Enhanced intuition: Your intuition originates in your subconscious mind. By expanding the communications channel between your conscious and subconscious minds, a greater flow of information can come to you. Your subconscious is aware of all things and knows all things, but limits what it allows you to access for your protection and guidance. Through hypnosis, your subconscious can be asked to increase your access of certain kinds of information.

Life progressions: Your subconscious dwells in dimensions where the past and future are seen as part of the now. Through this, you can view probable scenes of any part of your future - tomorrow or 10 years from now. You can gain from this experience by knowing what choices to make in your present are going to effect your future.

Defeat addictions: All addictions, behavioral or chemical, have their root in attempting to fill some inner need or lack - usually some aspect of love the person didn't get. Through hypnosis, the originating cause of the addiction can be found and reconciled, thus removing the underlying emotion that empowers the addiction.
