One of the teachings of Jesus was that "to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, one must be reborn of the Spirit". The spiritual Master recognizes that this rebirth is not just a symbolic rebirth a change in attitude that most people think of but a literal rebirth which involves a change in the DNA of the body to be able to withstand a higher vibrational frequency that the new body must adapt to. It has also been described as a re-chemicalization of the body because the chemical makeup and operation at the cellular level does take place.
Most in Christendom believe that Jesus was teaching of simply changing one's attitudes and beliefs was the rebirth referred to. These also are essential elements for gaining immortality and following the path Jesus taught of, but I would put them into the perspective that this aspect of being born again is making the transition from human animal to human being. From moving from among the "walking dead" to being awakened. These are the "born again" Christians; although a wonderful step forward, these folks are still a long ways from entering the Heaven that Jesus referred to. (Don't be hard on yourself, though he had a special advantage and still had to undergo 25 years of intense training.) Humans are best described as being a biological apparatus for a spirit to explore the universe of the physical, but it is also properly described as a transformational apparatus, because it is fully equipped to alter itself to be able to abide in other dimensions. Most of the humans on Earth today fall into the category of human animal they live with fear and shame and guilt at the core of their beings and have no sense of unity with each other or their environment. There once were many human beings on this planet they had no wars or murders (or even words in their vocabulary for them) and few diseases. Most have been slaughtered by the ever-encroaching human animals with their fear and shame-based religions. Human beings are on the rise, however, as more people are seeing the truth of their religions and their governments. These will be the ones who are preparing themselves for the next stage a rebirth to become spirit beings.
The best metaphor I know of to describe the process of transformation from human being to Spirit Being is that of the life span of the butterfly or the moth. The caterpillar is born from an egg and goes through the first stage of its life. Near the end of this stage it must locate a secure spot, then proceed to create a cocoon in which it will go through its transformation to become an entirely different creature. The caterpillar goes through an actual rebirth, emerging from the cocoon as the beautiful winged insect.
Here the metaphor must end, however. It is good at describing the transformation from one form to another and recognizing that the original creature must die for the second to be birthed. Caterpillars are not human beings, though and butterflies are not spirit beings. The human being is the carriage for a spirit, enabling it to experience the physical realm through the senses of the body. The body has its own sense of itself, however, which is governed by a mind presence we call the ego. The ego and the spirit are not one and the same. The ego develops within the body and dies when the body dies. The spirit is eternal. It is pure consciousness. Though it is infinitely more powerful, the spirit will never usurp the ego's position as the conscious controller of the body. Only when the ego willingly steps aside, will the spirit-self take control of the body. In order for the transformation from human being to spirit being to happen, the ego must "die", yielding its position forever to the spirit. The spirit can then take the body to places the ego never could.
The transformational process is something all mystic masters
have gone through.
Becoming the spirit being is indeed bringing the full power and
majesty of God into the physical realm. Those who have accomplished
this task have been the miracle workers, the true magicians, the
spiritual leaders of yore. The truly advanced masters could in
fact move mountains, raise the dead, control nature, and disappear
in a blaze of light.
It is understandable that this unfathomable power should not be allowed to be accessed by those who would use it for personal or harmful purposes. The final steps toward the manifestation of God into the physical are guarded to prevent the unprepared or ego-driven from ever gaining access to this power.
The Guardian of The Gate is an internal energy system found only in human beings. No other mammal has it. It is most often called the Kundalini. This spirit energy travels in a weaving path along the spinal cord, beginning at the base of the spine and ending inside the brain. The energy flowing through this special channel has been described as the raising of the serpent, the keeper of the energy. This is the energy of the healers of old and the reason the intertwining serpents appear on the symbol of healing, the caduceus, worn by doctors today around the world. (How ironic that perhaps only a handful of today's doctors know the meaning of the symbol they wear, and would most likely denounce anyone truly using the healing power of the Kundalini.)
The human being who would pass through The Gate and dare to bring on the Kundalini must first have cleansed themselves of all negativity. All negative emotions must be put to rest. Our most common expression is someone who is pure of heart. Jesus expressed it as "coming as a little child". Young children, before they have begun developing an ego, have no fear, no guilt, no shame or any of the many variations and derivatives of these negative emotions. These are all attitudes adults teach them early on (at least here in our "civilized" society). Yet these are the very emotions that will not be allowed to pass The Gate.
A brief side trip into the world of science is appropriate here to try to gain an idea of the enormity of the power we are talking about which feeds the Kundalini. There are two kinds of energy in the physical universe weak energy and strong energy. The vast majority of our application of energy here on Earth employs weak energy. It is the energy released during chemical reactions, and comes as a result of releasing electrons from atoms. These electrons are bound to their atomic structures by weak energy. Every application of combustion, from campfires to gas furnaces to gasoline-powered engines to high explosives, all use the weak energy of chemical reaction. Our bodies too use weak energy. We need a continuous supply of fuel, which our cells "burn" to generate the warmth we require to stay alive and to supply us with the energy to conduct our daily activities.
Strong energy is the force holding together the components of the nucleus of atoms. Living in an atomic age, we know a little about this it is the energy that creates atomic bombs and nuclear power generators. At this stage of our technological development, we have only been able to release this energy from very rare, unstable and dangerous elements. Nonetheless, we know for example, that the amount of strong energy we can release from a pebble-sized piece of plutonium far exceeds the amount of weak energy which be unleashed from a hundred boxcars packed with dynamite. The difference is almost beyond our comprehension.
The point is this: in it's full glory, the kundalini begins to unleash strong energy. Any body not properly prepared to receive and channel this energy is quickly incinerated, not by mere combustion, but by atomic energy. To the outside world, this phenomenon has come to be called "Spontaneous Human Combustion" (SHC). With all their knowledge about fire based on weak energy, this leaves medical scientists, fire investigators, and forensic examiners all scratching their heads to explain the event. When an SHC occurs, the human body is reduced to a small pile of ashes in minutes, yet almost never causing any damage to the surroundings. Events have even been documented, where an SHC took place, totally consuming the body, yet the boots the person was wearing were only slightly scorched. What remains of a person's body after SHC is even less than the ashes drawn from the fires of a cremation, yet an SHC happens in far less time.
The Guardian of The Gate is activated whenever a person attempts to enter the Kingdom of True Enlightenment. On rare occasions, this can be triggered accidentally by a person literally out of their mind with grief or despair. It is more likely to be done by someone with a little knowledge of the process but not of the consequences and not prepared for the event by being pure in spirit. It is these that most certainly must not be given the power. Only those with years, even lifetimes of preparation, who have been sufficiently purified in body and spirit and have learned to raise the vibrational frequency of their body can safely pass through The Gate.
When the properly trained and prepared yogi or mystic master, or magus, or kahuna, or shaman, or priest, or priestess release the Kundalini, they guide and control its flow of energy and can ride the light to indescribable ecstacy. Their bodies vibrate at a higher frequency, accommodating the energy and moving it ever higher. Ultimately, these spiritual entities will choose to evolve onward, leaving the physical world and taking their bodies with them to higher realms. They ascend. They will have broken the bond of reincarnation and will need never to return to a physical world. They, as spirits have always been immortal; now their bodies too have transgressed death. The Guardian of The Gate will continue to serve them, because they know they will never encounter any beings in the higher realms who carry the negativity that belongs only at the lowest levels of life.
