As most of you readers are most likely aware, the world is in the process of waking up to a new realization and now beginning to live consciously. And as more people wake up, more people wake up, a Universal Law as so aptly seen in the Yin-Yang
symbol. The transitioning from one era or energy or level of consciousness is seldom without some difficulties. Almost everyone who makes this transition experiences some kind of traumas on all levels - spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. Things we took for granted for most of our lives suddenly don't work any more. Ideas that we deeply believed in, we begin to find out were erroneous all along. Patterns of success in both personal and professional lives no longer feel right. The people we used to feel close to now seem irrelevant and distant. We no longer enjoy many of the things that used to define our comfort zone.
People just waking up may be feeling lonely, even depressed. And they find unexplained new patterns in their behavior. They may experience fuzzy patterns of thought and short-term memory loss. They may be experiencing new aches and pains in their bodies they can't account for in their bones and joints. They may suddenly be repulsed by foods they once loved and craving others they had thought little of. Fatigue is common and they may also experience dramatic changes in their sleeping patterns - either sleeping much less than before or wanting to sleep almost continuously.
One of the worst aspects of making the transition for most people is that they have no one they can talk to about what they are experiencing. Their friends and family can't relate or if they do, it's only superficially. No aid seems to come from talking to clergy, who might even declare that the person is falling into "Satan's clutches" or some such thing, which only adds to their distress and guilt, thinking already that they have done something wrong or bad to bring on this condition. When they ask for help in the medical community, doctors and psychiatrists will rarely take the time to consider all the issues, they will just write out prescriptions for pain killers, sleep aids, and anti-depressants, using their usual modality of "my-job-is-to-make-the-symptom-go-away". The drugs, of course, almost always make the situation even worse. Nothing in their training has ever been taught to them about dealing with what I call Spiritual Crisis.
Many of these kinds of conditions either can persist for years or may even emerge after a person begins to realize that they have been experiencing a spiritual awakening. I have treated not only the newly awakened, but also a number of people who have become healers, psychics and even powerful shamans. Through one means or another, many of these people of all ages and backgrounds have found their way to me and I have been blessed with an ability to provide assistance at some level to almost all of them. I have found that dealing with spiritual crisis usually requires the application of several different modes of therapy. First, the newly awakened must be assured that they are not really going insane and that they are not alone, and then empathizing with all the alienating kinds of things they have been feeling. I'll then try to put in simple, non-threatening kinds of terms what is going on in the world that has brought about their waking up and showing them what a true blessing it is even if they can't see it as anything positive at the time. I assure them that all the troubles they have been experiences they have been feeling are temporary as they have shifting into a higher level of consciousness.
Once they begin to feel more at ease with their situation, I will usually suggest a flower essences therapy session using the Perelandra Flower Essences. I have found these to be uniquely capable of restoring balance, alignment and harmony among all the levels of a person spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. These work almost instantly to restore alignment to the body's electrical and electro-magnetic grids, bringing a great deal of relief and calmness. I'll then begin a series of hypnotherapy sessions, helping the person release and heal their patterns and beliefs of guilt, unworthiness, abandonment, victimhood or anger. Once these negative energies have been released, the person is able to take on a new vision of themselves and the world around them with new hope and comfort.
Finally, I'll try to assist them to find their way into groups or relationships with others who have shared similar experiences, so they need not feel alone, even though they may never be able to easily accept the company of old friends or family again. I will suggest books to read which will help them even more to understand what it means to be living in the light and living consciously.
